 Chantelle’s Ashby’s newest CD release is being distributed throughout the music industry and broadcast radio across Canada with a USA release date to follow.  The new CD release captures her unique, exciting & powerful vocals and captivating lyrics.  Chantelle is currently working on various storyline’s for future concept video productions of select songs from the CD.

 Chantelle recently performed at the Heartland Music Festival opening for Joe Nichols and Alan Jackson and is scheduled to perform at the Heartland Music Festival in 2004.  Chantelle is also a top finalist of the recent B.C. talent searches Okanagan Idol & Okanagan Star Search plus has recorded songs that are featured on these popular compilation CDs. In addition, Chantelle was invited by the City of Kelowna to perform at the Benefit concert at Sky Reach Place in support of the “Fire Relief Fund” plus had a feature music track on the accompanying compilation benefit CD entitled “Fire On The Mountain”.  Chantelle Ashby’s live concert set was filmed for a future live concert video release performing songs from her new CD.

Chantelle had previous success with a CD single “Didn’t Fall In Love” receiving airplay in Europe. The CD single received excellent reviews and reached “Top Ten” on the “Roots Revival” and Country Play lists in Belgium, Denmark & France plus reaching # 7 on Radio 89.9 FM in Australia.  French reviewer Dominique Costanoga, (Radio Marseillette) stated upon reviewing the CD, “Excellent! Chantelle is well on her way to being the next wave in the Canadian invasion on the international Country Music market”.

Chantelle Ashby has been performing and singing professionally since she was twelve years old.  She started singing at school functions and talent shows at the early age of ten. Her first studio recording and CD single release at the age of 12, was for the song “What Did You Put In That Kiss”. She followed up with performing throughout Metro Toronto & the Southern Ontario region at numerous music events.  Chantelle was recognized for her youthful tribute to Patsy Cline and continued to impress audiences at an early age.

 

At 15 years old she performed at the National Telethon - Variety Club “Show of Hearts” which also featured country stars Farmers Daughter, Patricia Conroy & Lori Barnson.  When Chantelle was 16, she won a trip to Nashville and performed at a country music industry showcase event in Nashville, receiving an incredible response from the A & R representatives attending the event.

With this momentum, at 17 years old, she was offered a record deal with the country record label - Hillcrest Records. Chantelle recorded the CD single “Didn’t Fall In Love” at Blue Ridge Mountain Studios.  The song was then released in January 2002, on Hillcrest Records “Pure Country #6” to country radio across Canada, Australia and throughout Europe.   The single reached top ten recognition in numerous European and Australian markets.

Chantelle is currently scheduling dates for 2004 with her new band.  Chantelle Ashby’s band is very diverse and covers numerous music styles that ensure a great “live experience”.  Chantelle’s live performances features songs from her debut album for concert dates plus includes top R & B, Old & New Country, Classic Rock Hits, Soul, Blues & Rock & Roll for her club performance dates.
